WORLD's FIRST UNDERWATER HOTEL

HYDROPOLIS HOTEL, DUBAI

The Underwater Hotel in Dubai, Hydropolis was a proposed seven star, top notch hotel in Dubai, off the coast of Jumeirah. The design was proposed by Prof. Roland Dieterle and it would be the world’s first underwater luxury hotel, not only in Dubai but in the whole world. The underwater hotel in Dubai was planned to be situated at 66-foot (20 m) below the surface of the Persian Gulf, just off Jumeira Beach in Dubai, and the project was projected to cost $300 million in construction.

Like all marvelous structures in Dubai, the underwater hotel would have been one of the most expensive hotels on the face of earth. The underwater hotel was conceived in 2006, was delayed in 2008, and as of June 2010 no construction or planned construction has occurred.
